When Colonel Fitzroy refuses to sound the alarm, Eleanor realizes he has known for forty eight hours and is letting it happen for reasons that will either win the war or end it. Forced to choose between obedience and the eleven hundred people working around her, Eleanor has until sunrise to solve a problem that has no right answer and a ciphertext that has no key.
